The Wood cottage Devon

The Wood is a huge detached house on the hill above South Sands beach in the Devon coastal town of Salcombe. The house sleeps 15 people in seven bedrooms: a family room with en suite on the top floor, two en suite doubles, a twin and a single on the first floor with bathroom, a twin on the lower ground floor with a shower room. On the entrance level is a hall and on the lower ground level is a kitchen with dining area and doors to a deck and a sitting room with open fire. Outside is over an acre of steep garden with pond, seating area and steps down to a footpath to the beach. The Wood is a fabulous house for a very special break in Devon.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck`s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens.
