Seeing the Sights in Carmarthenshire - There's a lot to choose from when you're considering a holiday in Wales. Carmarthenshire for example, has something for everyone. There are great golf courses to keep the husband or golfer in the family happy, such as Derllys Court Golf Club set in superb tree lined parkland, or Carmarthern Golf Club, one of the finest courses in Wales. For those interested in seeing a bit of the history of South West Wales, a trip to Talley Abbey, 6 miles north of the market town of Llandeilo is an option, or perhaps a short break in Laugharne? Although Dylan Thomas lived there from 1949 till 1953, it's the annual Laugharne Weekend, an arts festival held every spring that would be ideal as a short break for couples, or those interested in the arts. Former headline performers have included Patti Smith, Ray Davies, Will Self and Howard Marks, no mean feat since the festival's inauguration was only in 2007. Definitely one for the diary.
