The Gorgeous Coast of Pembrokeshire - Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is unique, in that it's the UK's only coastal national park. Since 1952, this fantastic area has enjoyed National Park status. It's breathtaking coast is the main reason. That's not to say that it's all sandy beaches, wild rugged cliffs and windswept dunes, you can also enjoy walking in the beautiful forest and marshlands on the edge of the park further inland. However, don't miss some of the great coastal path routes either. This Coast Path boasts one of the best sandy beaches in Wales, Marloes Sands, south west of the village of Marloes. A fair bit of walking is involved to reach it, but as it's officially one of Britain's best beaches, it's worth the effort. The western half of the peninsula is great for spotting puffin, seals and other wildlife. There's great accommodation to be found throughout Pembrokeshire, whether you're looking for a farm break or a family cottage. The beautiful countryside and the stunning coast is a real get away from it all destination for couples.
