The Auld Kirk cottage Scotland
The Auld Kirk is a wonderful, detached cottage set four miles from Melvich in the Scottish Highlands. Originally a church, this superb holiday property has two bedrooms, each with an en-suite, including a ground floor king-size double and a first floor family room. There`s also a family bathroom, a mezzanine sitting area on the first floor and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside is a patio garden with furniture along with ample off road parking. The Auld Kirk is a superb, unique holiday home in a remote and beautiful part of Scotland.
The village of Melvich is located on the north coast of Scotland near the mouth of the River Halladale and is set in the rolling and open space of Sutherland known as `Mackay Country`. Melvich has a village shop and post office as well as a village inn with a restaurant. The village attracts many visitors, especially during the summer months, as it is an ideal base for touring the north coast of Scotland.
