Witton View Cottage cottage Yorkshire Dales
This charming, ground floor holiday home is converted from a 17th century stone cow byre two miles from Hamsterley, near the North Pennines AONB. The property has an open plan living space with a kitchen, dining table and comfy seating for two. There is also a separate sitting room and two bedrooms, one with twin beds and one with a double bed and wicker chair by the window. The property is surrounded by pretty views of fields, with a private patio where you can enjoy alfresco dining, and the River Wear is just five minutes away on foot. A great base for walkers and cyclists!
The village of Hamsterley is situated on the brow of a hill between Teesdale and Weardale. The village offers a pub, where basic provisions can be purchased and is close to Hamsterley Forest, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Raby Castle, the market town of Barnard Castle and Durham are all close by.
