Wayside Cottage cottage Northumbria

Wayside Cottage is an end-terrace cottage in the village of Edmundbyers near to Consett in County Durham. The cottage has one double bedroom and a bathroom, making it ideal for a romantic break for two. Edmundbyers is a traditional village situated south of the River Derwent, in the foothills of The North Pennines. From the village of Edmundbyers there are plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling, golfing, sailing, fishing and simply appreciating the quiet natural beauty. Only four miles away is the delightful village of Blanchland. Dating back to 1165, Blanchland is reputed to be one of the prettiest villages in England, famous for being the film location for many of the Catherine Cookson novels.
