Usherwoods Dairy cottage Yorkshire Dales
Set on the rural outskirts of Bentham in the small hamlet of Tatham, is this stunning, semi-detached stone barn conversion. Situated in the grounds of the owner`s farmhouse, this wonderful cottage is perfectly placed for breathtaking countryside views. The property itself provides high quality accommodation with stone floors and under-floor heating, as well as a wood-burning stove and a wonderful patio garden. This spacious property is ideal for a large family or a group of friends/couples.
On the edge of Burnmoor is the tiny hamlet of Tatham. High above the traditional Yorkshire market town of Bentham and overlooking The Great Stone, this wonderful hamlet is well-situated to see all of Lancashire and Yorkshire. The Great Stone of Fourstones itself is a relic from the Ice Age, standing on the boundary between counties and has become a notable feature of the landscape. From here it`s possible to see the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales National Park and The Forest of Bowland, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Visitors can use this wonderful little hamlet as a base for walking holidays across the famous three peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-ghent whilst the less active may enjoy the range of amenities at nearby Bentham. These include a good variety of shops and a range of pubs and restaurants.
