The nearby village of Abbotsbury is home to the beautiful Subtropical Gardens popular Childrens Farm and the unique Swannery. Chesil Beach is just 4 miles away and this stretch of coast leads on to Hive Beach (8 miles) and West Bay (10.5 miles). The popular seaside town of Weymouth (7 miles) has plenty of great places to eat and drink or you could explore the Isle of Portland (11.5 miles). The bustling market town of Dorchester (9 miles) is home to Thomas Hardys property at Max Gate and you can visit Hardys birthplace at Higher Bockhampton (11.5 miles).
