Evergreen enjoys an elevated position just across Richmond Bridge and within easy reach of riverside walks and the town centre. Stone steps lead up to the green stable door of this traditional perfectly proportioned two bedroom stone cottage. Inside a deceptively spacious well equipped and light filled holiday cottage awaits you. The furnishings fabrics and additional attention to detail are designed to ensure you can relax and unwind in comfort and make the most of your stay in this beautiful area. On the ground floor the sitting room is attractively furnished with comfortable stylish sofas plus a stove for cosy winter evenings. WIFI smart TV and radio are included. A small number of traditional games and books are provided. The kitchen/dining room is well equipped and features a range cooker with a gas hob double electric oven and grill plus a dishwasher fridge/freezer washing machine microwave toaster and of course a kettle and coffee making facilities. The dining table seats four comfortably and has a view from the window towards the castle. On the first floor the attractive master bedroom is also designed for your comfort. The room has a super king bed exposed beams windows on two sides a full length mirror and ample space to hang clothes. A hairdryer ironing board and iron are available. The pretty second bedroom also has lovely views a king sized bed and very attractive furnishings. Both bedrooms have IPod clocks and Smart TVs in case you wish to catch up with the early morning news. The small family shower room is upstairs at the end of the landing. It includes a dual headed shower a good supply of hot water and complimentary toiletries. All rooms have easy to open windows for ventilation good natural light and central heating. To the rear of the cottage is a pleasant enclosed garden which includes a garden table and chairs BBQ and a happy community of garden birds. You may also notice owls around the cottage in the evenings. At the front of the property there is a bench from which you can also enjoy a view of the castle. Dogs are charged at 20 each per full or part week. One dog is permitted per booking. Free parking is available off road just below the cottage. Pickup and drop-off is possible on the pavement immediately outside the cottage. This is a wonderfully comfortable cottage perfect as a base for visiting family and friends relaxation and sightseeing an active walking holiday or a long weekend break. Ideally placed at the gateway to the dales there are many opportunities to explore this stunning area not only in Richmond and Swaledale but also beyond. The landscape is steeped in history and retains a timeless dramatic beauty which changes throughout the seasons; from glorious purple heather moors in August to dramatic snow capped hills in winter.
