Ghyll Bank Cow Shed cottage The Lake District and Cumbria
Ghyll Bank Cow Shed is a wonderful, semi-detached barn conversion a short drive from Staveley, a South Lakeland village near Lake Windermere. The cottage has three bedrooms, a double on the ground floor and two upstairs with the zip/link option of being two singles or a super king-size double bed. There is also a bathroom on the ground floor, and two shower rooms upstairs. The kitchen is bright and well-equipped, with stairs leading down into the sitting room and dining area. Doors open onto the patio with garden furniture, so you can sit with a drink and enjoy beautiful, far-reaching views of the fells. There is also plenty of off road parking. A fantastic base for friends and families.
Just five miles from the famous town of Windemere, Staveley is truly in the heart of the Lakelands. This charming village is just a stone`s throw from the borders of the Lake District National Park and offers wonderful and scenic opportunities for walkers, cyclists and nature enthusiasts. The village itself is well-served by a number of shops, a trio of pubs and a railway station, offering relaxing rides through the surrounding countryside. Nearby attractions include the famous Lake Windemere, where you can soak up the spectacular panorama from a boat or take a ferry trip to the Lakeside Aquarium or the Grizedale Forest Park. Ambleside, the centre of English mountaineering, is also close by offering visitors the chance to go climbing.
