This quintessentially English country cottage is located in the pretty East Sussex village of Beckley and is a perfect location for those wishing to explore the Sussex and Kent countryside as well as enjoying the sandy beaches of Camber Sands less than ten miles away. The cottage is conveniently situated for visiting nearby Bodiam Castle and Great Dixter home to Christopher Lloyds celebrated hall house and garden and just a short drive away is the market town of Rye boasting many independent shops and restaurants the perfect place for whiling away an afternoon and romantic dinners out for two. Keen walkers (and their four legged friends) will also enjoy exploring the many local footpaths on offer in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty stopping at quaint villages for afternoon tea or a pub lunch along the way. The front door opens into the charming lounge/diner which features original exposed beams a large brick fireplace with a wood burner for chilly evenings and a comfortable sofa and chaise longue for relaxing on and enjoying your favourite TV programmes on the Smart TV. The gate-leg dining table and chairs open out for you to enjoy romantic meals after a busy day exploring the local area. The hand-made kitchen beyond is compact but opens out to the garden via a traditional stable door and has everything you ll need including a range style electric oven and gas hob fridge microwave and dishwasher. There is an additional fridge/freezer and washer/dryer located in the outbuilding by the back door. A set of steep stairs lead up to the first floor and to the two bedrooms - a single and a double - which are extremely cosy and inviting. Also on this floor is the stylish bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Outside the cottage is approached via a pretty front garden which has a handmade bench for enjoying the morning sunshine while the fully enclosed garden at the rear of the house has been beautifully planted and features a cafe style table and chairs for al fresco dining. Unrestricted roadside parking is available in a neighbouring road subject to availability but guests can unload outside the cottage Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 double, 1 small double sleeps 2 1. 1 bathroom. Range style electric oven and gas hob, fridge, dishwasher and microwave. Utility room with washer/dryer and fridge/freezer. Wood burner (first basket of logs included between October and May). Unrestricted roadside parking on Hobbs Lane (approximately 150yds away). 1 dog welcome. Fully enclosed front and back gardens. Beach 5 miles, shop and pub 2 miles. Smart TV in lounge. Please note steep stairs with rope bannister, and restricted headroom in places.
