Elder Howe cottage The Lake District and Cumbria
Elder Howe is a large detached property situated on the northern edge of Ullswater. The home has five bedrooms, two of them en-suite doubles, with a triple, twin and downstairs single with an additional family bathroom. The living space comprises a vast sitting room, separate dining room and large family kitchen with separate laundry room. Located within a short walk of Pooley Bridge, Elder Howe is perfect for a large group or two families looking for accommodation of a high standard for their holiday in the northern focal point of the Lake District.
Pooley Bridge is a traditional village inn, cafe and shops. The surrounding area is home to numerous quaint Lakeland villages scattered along the shores of Lake Ullswater and Aira Force is a dramatic waterfall cascading into the lake below. Sharrow Bay Hotel is only a short drive away for the ultimate in dining and is renowned the world over or a trip over Kirkstone Pass brings you into Ambleside where there is an abundance of shops, pubs and restaurants. The historic market town of Penrith is within 5 miles and has numerous shops, a heated indoor swimming pool, golf course and driving range.
