Drumhead Bothy cottage Scotland

Drumhead Bothy is a wonderful cottage situated in the village of Finzean, near Aboyne, in Scotland. Hosting two bedrooms: one double with an en-suite shower room and one twin, sleeping a total of four people and served by a cloakroom. There is an open-plan living room with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area with a woodburning stove. Outside has a small front patio area with furniture, as well as off-road parking. Drumhead Bothy is a lovely choice for a remote family break to Scotland.

This stunning village rests on the banks of the picturesque River Dee, on the eastern fringes of the Cairngorms National Park and close to the world-famous Scottish Highlands. It is an excellent spot for exploring the great outdoors, not only with the Cairngorms National Park abounding in beautiful walking and cycling paths, but Aboyne itself plays host to an all-weather tennis court, a bowling green and an 18-hole golf course. In terms of amenities, the village offers a couple of handy shops, welcoming pubs and local facilities including a newsagents and a butchers. North of the village, discover the immaculate Aboyne Castle. A 31-mile drive west will lead you towards the striking port city of Aberdeen, abounding in fine architecture and hosting a wealth of excellent attractions and amenities.
