The small and vibrant village of Clearwell is the perfect base for your stay within the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. The village is located within easy reach of lots of great attractions including the National Diving Centre with a zipline GoApe puzzlewood as well as a wealth of walking and cycling thats on your doorstep. There are lots of mountain biking routes throughout the forest as well as canoeing down the River Wye and Symonds Yat. Clearwell caves is a great underground experience with nine caverns for you to explore. The Secret Forest is a beautiful woodland now reclaimed by nature. On rainy days theres also plenty to do from museums caves or how about spending some time riding a steam train through the forest or taking a cruise down the River Wye. The property is also a short walk from Clearwell Castle which is a wonderful wedding and events venue. Take in the peace and tranquillity of this picturesque village as you arrive at your front door the hallway inviting you to leave your coats and walking boots behind. Step down into the cosy lounge where the large oak beams and inglenook fireplace complement the clever mix of natural colours and rich fabrics the wood burner is the perfect addition to an evening in playing board games or watching a movie or simply enjoy a chapter of your book whilst watching the world go by from in one of the deep window seats the dining area welcomes five guests for dinner. No cottage is complete without a cottage kitchen with flagstone floors and views onto the gardens well-equipped with electric oven and hob microwave fridge washing machine and Nespresso coffee machine (starter pack of pods provided). At the end of the day climb the wooden stairs where you will find three bedrooms one king-size zip-and-link with mounted smart TV(which can be made into a twin on request) one double with mounted smart TV and one single. There is bathroom with shower over the bath and WC on this floor. There is also a separate WC on the ground floor. Step outside to enjoy the church bells on a Sunday morning the garden is enclosed with a simple landscape a decked patio with table and chairs and BBQ for summer dining. Roadside parking. Need to know: 3 bedrooms 1 king size zip and link (which can be made up as a twin on request), 1 double and 1 single. 1 bathroom with shower over bath. Mounted smart TVs in king size and double bedrooms. Downstairs WC. Kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine and Nespresso coffee machine (Started pack of pods provided). Electric and central heating included. Wood burner (first basket of logs included). Bed linen and towels included. Wi Fi included. Regret no smoking. 2 dogs welcome. Roadside parking. Shop 2 miles and pubs within walking distance. Arrival time 4pm. Smart TV and DVD.
