Newport holiday cottages

Granted city status in 2002, Newport is now the third largest city in Wales behind Cardiff and Swansea. Currently undergoing a huge regeneration programme, Newport is a city on the rise with plentiful shops, bars, restaurants and theatres. Away from this increasingly modern city, Newport County itself still boasts a fine history. Just a few miles away lies Tredegar House, a truly magnificent seventeenth century manor house now owned by the National Trust. With beautifully landscaped gardens and a pretty lake, Tredegar House is an excellent day out and one of the finest historic houses in Wales.
